Joshua Palmer, from Rolla, Mo., is an Army veteran who served in Iraq and Afghanistan. Palmer started transition to civilian life in 2012 after being in the Army for 6 years. With much of what he saw overseas he felt bad about things that he had done, "Mainly killing someone that at the time didn't bother me but I would sit and think of that being someone's husband and father and I started going to AA meetings. Hearing other people's (stories) comforted me knowing I wasn't the only one with issues." Now Palmer has a girlfriend name, Hope, that has helped him to go to church. "I finally found my peace and anxiety relief in God and knew I was on the path I was supposed to be."
